“Adam is such a pleasure to work with. His insight and ability to work with our students is immeasurable beyond any accolades we’ve received. Our students were very receptive and were comfortable with his suggestions. With his critiques, we were able to compete on the biggest stage in Texas, the UIL State One Act Play contest in 2019. Adam is highly recommended.”

“I've had the pleasure of knowing Adam Zarowski for over 9 years and in that time worked with him as a colleague in the El Paso Independent School District and lately as a UIL One Act Play clinician.  Adam is known for his knowledge of and experience with, teaching high school age actors.  He is highly effective and able to communicate exactly what they need to hear and use as they study the art form.  He is insightful and personable and its my experience that students respond positively to his coaching and to his critiques.  Adam brings a passion and energy to each and every group he works with and I found his techniques easy to implement with my young actors.”

“Adam Zarowski offers so much to table when he working with your company. I was looking for someone to really communicate to my team in different ways to help them grow in acting; Adam was definitely able to do that. I love Adam’s approach when working with students and helping them grow, he really knows how to communicate his thoughts and ideas. We will definitely continue to work with Adam as long as he’s doing workshops!”

Mr. Zarowski wasn’t technically my teacher. Mentor has a better ring to it, but still doesn’t encompass everything he is. He came to my school halfway through my senior year where there was no semblance of a theatre program or debate team. Most teachers would probably use that semester as a “transition” time, or time to acclimate themselves to a new environment. Not Zarowski. The final semester of one of the most formative years of my life would not have been as amazing as it was without his leadership, mentorship, and guidance. He is able to find that “thing” in all his students that make them shine, even if they don’t see it themselves, yet.  This applies to our work on and off the stage. He made us all feel comfortable in our skin and with ourselves. I can speak for myself and countless others, Mr. Zarowski saved us, even if he didn’t know it then. I feel it’s very important to note that Zarowski found himself on the short end of the stick when it came to support for the arts at our school a lot, but he always made it work. He is one of the most resourceful and smart people I know when it comes to production and execution of ideas. He never sacrifices his vision and always puts his students first.  As mentioned, I only had a semester with him as a high schooler, but I continued learning from him after graduation by helping out with the theatre program. He’s the reason I had the courage to audition for things in college and thereafter.  He gave me the courage to leap into the unknown and to trust myself enough to give NYC a chance. I’ve now been working consistently as an actor, but I also know how and when to say no to things so I can stay sane and healthy.  If I can learn all of this from ONE formal semester of HIGH SCHOOL education, I cannot imagine the caliber of actor, student, or person that will come from Adam’s guidance, mentorship, and eventual friendship. Thank you Zarowski!

“I consider Adam Zarowski a once in a lifetime great teacher. Before I was placed in his Theatre 1 class I had no clue what I was going to do with my life, but because of his guidance, support, and constant push I knew that I wanted to be an Actor.  As a teacher and director, Adam truly inspires people to put up the best work that they can muster. We made it to the Texas UIL One Act State Finals under his guidance and direction with our production of Amadeus, something that El Paso Austin High School hadn't accomplished since the early 1900's. From the get go, Adam lead the entire group to believe that we could make it all the way to the top, that we were enough, that we could be the best at anything that we tried in life. His passion is something that is truly intoxicating, whether you are his student, directed by him or are fortunate enough to share the stage with him there is this innate fire in your heart to bring your best work forward. Adam goes above and beyond when it comes to his students/cast & crew/ scene partner. He gives 100% of his resources, knowledge and heart to assure that you can be your best self. He is someone that I am blessed to have in my life, and to this day is still constantly in my corner helping me do my best work as an actor and constantly inspiring me.

“Adam Zarowski has an incredible ability to remind everyone, no matter where they come from, or how much experience they have with theater, that art in any and all of its forms touches all of our lives and encompasses all of us in any and every single way. He instills amazing work ethics to whoever he works with, and shows us that hard work, practice, and perseverance will always get you where you want to go. While I no longer perform, the lessons I learned while acting in high school with Zarowski as my teacher are lessons I’ve taken with me to every single job I’ve had since working with him. Being taught to be proud and confident of my own abilities and artistry has been invaluable to me and has helped me get to the position I am in now. There is something so special about having learned theatre first through acting and performance, because it gave me the connection to my work that I bring to every single project I do, even when it’s working on the piece from a totally different facet.?

Teaching has definitely made me a better director and actor.

“Adam has worked with my students numerous times and we love him. He truly cares about helping directors and students create art, not just put on a show.

Adam has a wonderful ability to speak to students in a way the can relate to and understand.

I value Adam’s insight so highly because he comes at it from the position not only, as a director, but also as  a professional performer. This is an advantage most don’t have.

Adam appreciates the director’s point of view and does a remarkable job of helping directors clarify their vision while enabling actors to grow and develop deeper characterizations.'“

“Adam is a naturally gifted director. His breath of knowledge and experience is evident in the creative work that he produces every year. The drive to be better and help others is what makes him so very special. Adam is currently one of the most effective and highly sought out UIL One-Act Play judges in the State of Texas because of the importance and care he places on educating young children on theatre. He truly knows how to motivate artists of all ages.  Many of Adam’s former students are now performing across the country and many have become theatre teachers – that says a lot about the influence Adam has on the people he works with and teaches.”

I’ve learned more from my students teaching theatre then I think they could have ever learned from me!

“Adam Zarowski is one of the most talented and creative people I've ever met! A majority of my experience with Adam, was as an actor under his direction, and he was always able to help me discover motivation. Everyone of us had an immense respect for him and what he had to say, so he was often sought out for guidance by others out side our program. His experience in both acting and directing provides a huge foundation, on which wonderful theatre can be built.”

“Adam Zarowski was and still is the best teacher a teenage student could ever have.  Frankly, I don’t even think that any words could express the gratitude I have for this man and his teachings.  To say he has great passion is an understatement!  Z would always go above and beyond for his students no matter the circumstances.   I wasn’t aware as a teenager, but now I know how much time he put into his job. Honestly,  I was very blessed to have him as a teacher.  I always kept to myself, outgoing was not a word that would be used to define me at the time but it all changed once I stepped foot in that high school theater.  He instilled in us the mind set that we are able to accomplish anything and that we could be anybody in that theater and in the outside world.  Adam was not only a teacher to me but a father figure in high school.  I came from a broken home and statistics would say I’d follow the same path as my parents but that wasn’t the case because of one man, Adam Zarowski. As it was once said, “The dictionary defines superlative as: of the highest kind, quality, or order, surpassing all else, or others.  Supreme.”  As a teacher, mentor, leader and friend, he is of the highest kind, quality, and order. Supreme.”

“Adam not only helped shape my appreciation of theater as my high school teacher but has also gone above and beyond to help me in my own teaching path.
He has worked my students as well. The way he can inject energy and connect with a group of new students is great. He creates rapport with them immediately and makes them feel important, as if he’s been there all semester.
He has worked on many productions in many different aspects; director, actor, set design, light design, costumes, you name it, he’s done it. His expertise is well rounded. I trust the input he gives on productions come from his balanced knowledge of the production and storytelling process.”
